I can't believe I am actually excited to go home tonight to assemble a newly purchased crib and playpen for Umi!

Remembering Lola Apay on her birthday

Today is May 19, 2012. 102 years ago, a certain Paz was born. Little did she know that she will make a significant impact on me, and on my family.

Lola Apay lived for 101 years, of which about a quarter of that I was able to witness. Lola, thank you for the wisdom you have shared to me, for the protection you have committed to my family. We will always remember you.

Pretty soon, another Paz will be born. Your memory will live on with us, Lola.

Rest in peace, La. I love you. We love you. And thank you for everything.

Excited

Just occurred to me.. Reading all about these delivery preps - birth plans, cord blood banking, stages of labor, etc. - has made me excited to actually see you, Umi. =)

In the meantime, you have my tummy as your playground. Love you.

Update

And there are, indeed, rules that are broken.

I will get what I asked for. At least that's what boss promised me.

But this didn't happen after a two month emotional battle. I hoped I would come out of this battle unscathe but my vulnerable self  later succumbed to tension headache...

But thank You for making everything possible. And thank You for the nice people I met along the way. May they always be blessed.

A highlight of my week must be the Discovery Weekend last March 10-11. It was a nice experience to bond with a special someone. And to meet interesting and inspiring couples, too. =)
